Life's Little Fiascos

I have been delaying this post because I was overwhelmed with the overload of content that I was to write about. Can you tell that I just went through finals?
 I'm. so. lazy!

This post has some funny and not so funny stories to it.

First of all, a few days ago I was lying in bed getting ready to turn over and fall asleep. My nose was a little ticklish, so I rubbed it. Still ticklish. I proceeded to pull out a 4 inch Winston hair that I swear must've been attached to my eyeball from the inside. It was super weird, but kinda cool.

Anyway, something that is not so funny is that I screwed up my rotator cuff. I saw the doc on Saturday and he said no lifting for 2 weeks. Two freakin weeks! I can still do legs, but I can't lift the plates or anything, so I will have to stick to the machines instead. I am on anti inflammatory meds right now that seem to be helping quite a bit. The doc said he would see me in two weeks and if the pain is still there, then an MRI is in order. He told me not to worry because "young people heal quick." But this is my bad shoulder. The shoulder that I dislocated when I was 13. The shoulder that I used to be able to pop out of socket on command. I have spent the last year conditioning it so it wouldn't pop out any more. Strength training has really helped it, but over time with Tae Kwon Do, volleyball, various other sports, doing outdoor adventures, dislocating it, and training for figure, it seems it has finally started to go kaput.

But before I started my two weeks of complete self pity, I needed one more adventure :)
KAYAKING!

 Da Life

The next day my shoulder ached badly!!! But it was sooo worth it! During our little Kayaking fiasco I got stuck on a wee little rock right below the surface of the water. I literally had to shimmy the kayak off of it. It was awesommmee! We paddled our way right up to Anglers Lodge and had ourselves some lunch! It was the perfect ending to a perfect day!

Love,
Lindsay
