Random Summer Fun

Travis is always so good to me. He knows how much I enjoy going to see plays, so he always buys tickets to see the school’s productions. This semester, the school put on Oedipus Rex. Honestly, I was a little skeptical about how a religious school could successfully pull this one off. In my 8th grade mythology class, I learned about Oedipus Rex. I learned that, in the story, he killed his father and married his mother. I was excited to see how BYU-Idaho was going to present this…um.. issue. All in all, the play was good. It was a different version than the original written by Sophocles. But the best part of the entire play was when Oedipus realized that he had in fact married his mother….so of course, as anyone would do, he gauged his eyes out. And it looked SO real! I was very happy with the stage makeup at that point.

Another thing that has been happening…is more adventures. White water rafting and four wheelin'
to be exact! We love summer! We have gone to Island Park almost every weekend since June. It’s been great!

Our friends Robyn and Christie came with us :)

That shirt used to be gray

The next weekend after we had fun in the mud, we went on a ride with my cousin Chad. We went through SO many puddles...I definitely felt my testosterone kick in. It was kinda scary since my four wheeler was almost swimming through them. At one point I had to find an alternate route around a puddle that would've swallowed me and my four wheeler...so I took another little trail, went over a homemade bridge, hit the mud...and got stuck. But it was my fault. I forgot to turn my 4 Wheel drive back on. Chad has pictures so I will have to post them later.

I have been taking a class that gives me the opportunity to work at the ropes course on campus! It has been amazing :) I wish I could work there all the time, but it is only open a few months out of the year. My friend Robyn came up to the ropes course with the child and family advocate society last week and they took some pics. Here is one of me teaching!
